8km south of Alibaug town. Wider and quieter than Alibaug beach on weekdays. Nagaon beach distance from Mumbai: ~105km by road. Beachfront resorts are a 2-min walk from parking.
Kashid beach Maharashtra's cleanest stretch — white sand, casuarina shade, and minimal commercial clutter. 130km from Mumbai via NH-66. Weekends draw heavy day-tripper crowds by mid-morning.
Things to do: walk to Kolaba Fort at low tide, hire a beach horse before 9am, eat breakfast at town-side stalls — no sea-salt markup inland.
Things to do: water sports operators set up by 8am, camel rides along the tideline, evening seafood at shacks open till 10pm.
Things to do: birdwatching in the palm grove at dawn, low-tide shell collecting, quiet beach walk — no commercial operators, no water sports.
Things to do: early-morning swim before crowds, jet ski hire from 8am, Janjira beach and Murud town 20km further south.
How to reach: Alibaug → Nagaon by auto or cab, 15 min. Ferry to Mandwa + road is faster than full Mumbai-road route on weekends.
